Fashion trends evolve from year to year by building on and impacting each
other, slightly changing in character – but always typified by the design
elements of color, cut/shape and styling/texture. These are the elements
that link the different fashion looks and make every collection unique.
Color Zoom is based on fashion trends and it also uses these trends for
inspiration.
In this collection tone-on-tone colors play with contrasting colors. Modern minimalistic shapes bear a rough, primal edge. Airy handcrafted shapes express future-forward styling.
Creativity in its purest form.
#GETELEMENTAL
These are the color characteristics for the Mineral Colors
in the ELEMENTAL Collection.
The 5 Mineral Color Wheels have shades that move beyond
rusty metallic and muted pastel tones into mineral tones.
Each Color Wheel shows one color direction in different nuances.
To give hairdressers most creative freedom, each Mineral Color can be used as background color and/or accent color.
The Mineral Effect is the special color effect of the Elemental collection.
Contrasting tones and harmonious tone-on-tone colors are layered
and overlap each other. The colors are filtered and create an interesting translucency.
Flared sections are the form of the color placement. Create sophisticated
Color Layers by applying the colors in Slices, Weaves and Block Coloring.
Combining Color Layers, thereby achieving filtering and translucency,
creates the Mineral Effect.
EXPERIENCE THE COLOR TEASER
Modern minimalistic shapes with a primal rough edge that show precision
but also have a free-form approach. The shapes utilise the elemental
feeling, have subtle asymmetries and unexpected irregularities.
The key cut element is the primal foundation created by soft edges and
jagged edges. The soft edges reduce the roughness of the look and are
created by Twisted Razor Cutting. The jagged edges strengthen the
self-made and raw character of the look and are created by
Twisted Scissor Cutting.
DISCOVER THE CUT TEASER
The main texture and styling characteristics are the roughness and
edginess in each look. A balance between the raw and the
refined – styles that bear a self-made character while being the result of
skillful texturing. The primal and minimalistic approach is created by
a raw but refined styling. To strengthen the Mineral Effect, the texture is
often airy and light which allows the colors to shimmer
through each other. Minimal shapes and maximal textures are the key to
the ELEMENTAL Collection. Airiness influences the styling, giving
a future-forward look.

MINIMALISTIC SHAPES
Characteristics are the shorter side sections in combination with
longer, disconnected sideburns and the longer, disconnected
nape area. The short, textured fringe is longer towards the top.
The crown area, cut using Deep Point Cutting, is longer and heavier
than the well-known disconnected layered cuts. Twisted Razor Cutting
in the interior of the cut, Twisted Scissor Cutting in the
fringe. The results are soft edges and jagged edges which create
a raw texture with a self-made feeling.
Use StyleSign Texturizer for Blow-Drying and Finishing.
ROUGH WAVES
Maisie’s style has choppy textured layers and soft waves at the
back and sides. For the styling foundation, apply StyleSign Texturizer.
Use your fingers to push the hair into the desired direction and gently
scrunch in some waves. Dry the hair with a diffuser and break up the waves
using the hairdryer with a nozzle. Finish with StyleSign Roughman.
PUREST GRAPHITE
For Ava’s color, different nuances of just one color direction are
used – Graphite. Darker and lighter tones of Graphite contrast
but work in harmony creating a muted, smoky color result. To create
the Mineral Effect, use cool and warm Graphite tones for the
background foundation and soft root shading. These are over-layered
and filtered by lighter veins of Graphite tones at the front and sides.

PRECISE FREE-FORM
Ava’s haircut is created by Block Graduation with Deep Point
Cutting and Blunt Cutting in the nape. Some sections of the
hair were twisted and cut using the Razor to achieve soft edges in the
fringe and at the sides. The top sections are quite short and
layered. The heaviness in the haircut is reduced and the tight shape
is emphasised by the longer fringe and sides.
For Blow-Drying and Finishing use StyleSign Naturally Full.
VEILED LAYERS
Ava’s look is all about textured layers with softer, longer sides
and fringe. Apply StyleSign Curl Splash on damp hair. Ruffle the hair
through, slightly scrunch her natural waves before drying with a
diffuser. Once dried, gently rough-dry with the hairdryer without
a nozzle to loosen up the waves. Use StyleSign Superego to
place Ava’s fringe away to one side and to enhance her shape.
MUTED MINERAL AURA
An elemental state of colors and a move to cool mineral tones
is the basis for Raniya’s Mineral Effect. For the background foundation
and soft root shading, various shades of Graphite are used. Inside
the Flared Sections, medium and light Graphite filter two tones of the
Azurite. The layering of the different tone-on-tone shades creates
this overall mineral aura.

FUTURISTIC MINIMALISM
A classic shape upgraded with a new raw texture.
The short graduated and disconnected nape section is created
by Blunt Cutting. Important for creating the texture is
the Twisted Scissor Cutting. Jagged edges break up the
fundamental lines and are underlined by the
Mineral Colors which also enhance the different hair
length at the sides and fringe.
For Blow-Drying use StyleSign Smooth Control. For Finishing use
StyleSign Big Finish.
AIRY LINES
Apply StyleSign Naturally Full to damp hair and power-dry
the back and sides against the natural growth. Once dried, use the
flat iron on the ends only and pull the back and sides in
different directions to enhance the texture. To provide a more
muted shine sculpture the hair with StyleSign Mellogoo.
FLOATING LAVENDER
Lea Sophie’s color result includes a cool background of Lavender Quartz.
The fine veins of Azurite, Spessartine and Lavender Quartz are
filtered by a light Lavender Quartz which is also seen at the ends.
The soft Lavender Quartz-shaded regrowth emphasises the choppy textures
while the Mineral Color Effect is placed around the head and underlines
the cut.
NEW MODERNITY
The combination of a “Put-on-Bob” with a choppy fringe as
well as the thinned-out sides and nape area creates a sculptured
shape from the crown. The raw texture is created by the
combination of two Cutting Techniques. Jagged edges in the
fringe and top area, achieved by Twisted Scissor Cutting,
while the side and nape area are cut by Twisted Razor Cutting to
create soft edges.
Use StyleSign Flat Marvel for Straightening and StyleSign Unlimitor
for Structuring.
ELEMENTAL STYLE
This ponytail style looks like Lea Sophie has an undercut while
leaving the fringe and layers out to hang loosely over.
On dry hair, take a horseshoe section and clip out of the way. Put
the longer hair on the sides and back into a ponytail.
Use StyleSign Sprayer to sleek down the sides. Finish with StyleSign
Unlimitor to define texture and separation.
EARTHY AND PASTEL TONES OVERLAP
Two Terracotta shades together with light Graphite and a muted
Azurite create a shimmery but muted shine. A filter of light Graphite
divides the Flared Sections and reveals the Azurite beneath the
surface of the hair. The Terracotta tones are used for the background
foundation and inside the Flared Sections.

MODERN SIMPLICITY
Patricia’s look is achieved by Twisted Razor Cutting which
creates a new softness and cool rough texture.
The short, textured nape area with forward graduation at the sides
gives a fitted shape with loose side areas. The disconnected
crown section creates a heavier shape at the back. Using the Razor
from the very first cutting step on creates soft edges that enhance
the natural and self-made feeling of this reformed bob cut.
For Blow-Drying use StyleSign Power Whip; for Structuring use
StyleSign Unlimitor.
PINNED-BACK AIRINESS
Use StyleSign Double Boost and blow-dry with your fingers and a
paddle brush. Rough-dry the hair with a blow-dryer and
StyleSign Diamond Gloss from left to right in the mid-lengths and
ends to create airiness. Pin the short over-layers in the back and keep
the longer sides loose. Fix the look with StyleSign Big Finish.
POWDERY SHIMMER
Cool and warm light tones are combined and create a powdery
shimmer. Tone-on-tone Spessartine shades are used to create the
background foundation and soft root shading. A muted turquoise
Azurite layered with a Spessartine within the Flared Sections, which is
separated by a light Spessartine filter to produce a translucent feeling.

HEAVY LAYERING
Kea’s haircut is characterised by the over-layering elements
and the strong disconnected crown section in proportion to the
longer nape area. Twisted Scissor Cutting achieves jagged
edges in the fringe while the crown section is cut by Deep Point
Cutting. The combination of both results in a tamed texture
that builds up the shape.
Use StyleSign Roughman for Styling and StyleSign Diamond Gloss for Finishing.
MINIMAL GOES MAXIMAL
The overall attitude of this look is pure and self-made. Use
StyleSign Texturizer in damp hair and comb a wavy shape forward
into her face. The slightly woven texture is achieved by blow-drying
with a diffusor. Once dried, gently soften up the waves with the
hairdryer. To provide hold and define the wavy texture, use a curling
iron and StyleSign Twist Around.
